APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 14, 2017 PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE REGULATING MOTORBOAT PROHIBITION ON EBERT LAKE: M/S Lutz/Trzebiatowski to approve the December 14, 2017 Public Hearing Minutes. M/C. Aye = 3
APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 14,2017 MONTHLY MINUTES: M/S by Trzebiatowski/Lutz to approve the December 14, 2017 minutes. M/C. Aye = 3
PUBLIC INPUT:1.) None
OPERATOR LICENSE FOR KASEY DOMBROWSKI - EMPLOYEE OF TOMORROW RIVER BP: M/S Trzebiatowski/Lutz to approve operator license for Kasey Dombrowski. Aye =3
OPERATOR LICENSE FOR DOLLAR GENERAL EMPLOYEES THAT WERE APPROVED ON 1/8/2018:Chairman Spierings met with Dollar General Employees: Shawna Steder, Rebecca Richardson, Kristy Voigtlander and Michelle Peper on 1-8-2018. Spierings reviewed applications and approved operator licenses.
LINDA DEAN/TOWN OF AMHERST AGREEMENT ON BOAT LANDING ROAD: Chairman Spierings had lawyer, Gary Villnow draw up an agreement between the Town of Amherst and Linda Dean. Both parties disliked the agreement made by Villnow and decided to go with original agreement that Linda Dean had typed up. M/S Spierings/Trzebiatowski to use the agreement made by Linda Dean. M/C Aye = 3 The Town will get the agreement notarized at the bank. Also, both parties agreed to give Linda Dean $5.00, which will be good for 5 years instead of $1.00 per year.
NO PARKING SIGNS ON LIME LAKE ROAD: Residents that hunt/fish Ebert Lake are wondering where to park on the public lake, since the Town of Amherst put up No Parking Signs on both sides of the road. Much discussion took place. M/S Trzebiatowski/Lutz to take No Parking signs off the east side of Lime Lake Road. In spring, put Parking Between Signs Only on Lime Lake Road on east side and No Parking signs on West side M/C. Ayes=3

PLAN COMMISSION REPORT: 1.) Proposed resolution for Lepinski rezoning. Plan Commission recommends approval of rezoning. Other plan commission members were concerned about setting a precedent for future requests. Decisions will have to be based by case. 2.) Update on Ryan and Deann Kolodziej farm. Property was operating for agricultural activity before zoning change and can continue unless expansion, then Board of Adjustment will need to make a special exception approval.
ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE TOWN OF AMHERST COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: Ordinance was read by Chairman Spierings. M/S Lutz/Trzebiatowski to amend the Town of Amherst Comprehensive Plan. M/C. Ayes=3
REZONING REQUEST FOR BRIAN AND KIMBERLY LEPINSKI: M/S Trzebiatowski/Lutz to approve the request for rezoning for Brian and Kimberly Lepinski. M/C. Ayes = 3
GROUNDWATER REPORT:Representative Tommy Enright was present to give a report. 25% of wells that were tested were reported to have higher levels of nitrates than recommended. Some suggestions were given to the County Board Committee. Some questions were asked on high nitrates. There was a manure spill reported on Hwy SS.
ROAD REPORT:1.) Lots of sanding done this past month. 2.) Had one breakdown on truck, had another truck fuel filter gel up.
TOWN HALL REPORT: 1.) There will be a primary election on February 20th. Asked Dick to plow and sand north side of building.
FIRE & SAFTEY REPORT: 1.) No report to give.
BUILDING INSPECTION,ZONING PERMIT REPORT: Reviewed
TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer Bacon gave report. Town Balance is $835,221.97 Municipal Road Loan balance is $61,650.87 and Property/Road Loan is $133,000.00. Payment is due on 3/15/2018 for $15,344.27
PAYMENT OF BILLS: Clerk Lea gave list of bills for revised December 2017, January (since we did not have January meeting) and February. Clerk Lea also gave Winter Maintenance report.
BUDGET REPORT: Reviewed.

AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH:1.) operator license fees - non refundable if no show. 2.) Ground lease per Villnow.
